Refund policy

Thank you for shopping with us. We take care in preparing every order and are here to help if something is not right.

Damaged, defective or incorrect items

Please inspect your order after delivery. If your print arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, please contact us promptly at hello@spaceistheplace.art.

Please include your order number and, where possible, photographs of the print and its packaging. We may ask you to retain the original packaging while we review the issue.

Once reviewed, we will arrange an appropriate replacement or refund.

Change-of-mind returns

Our prints are produced individually after an order is placed. Except where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, we do not accept returns or exchanges simply because a customer has changed their mind.

This does not affect any rights relating to damaged, defective or incorrectly supplied products.

EU right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you generally have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods.

To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision before the withdrawal period expires. You may use our online withdrawal function or contact us using the following details:

You may exercise your right of withdrawal through our online withdrawal function. After submitting your request, you will receive an electronic confirmation of receipt.

After notifying us, the goods must be returned within 14 days. Please contact us before sending the item so that we can provide the appropriate return instructions.

You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods. We recommend using a tracked shipping service and retaining proof of postage.

If the withdrawal is valid, we will refund the payments received from you, including the cost of our least-expensive standard delivery option. Additional costs resulting from a different delivery method are not refundable.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods or you have supplied evidence that they have been returned, whichever occurs first. The refund will normally be made using the original payment method and without additional fees.

You are responsible only for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Orders outside the European Union

Unless mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise, orders delivered outside the European Union are not eligible for change-of-mind returns.

In particular, we do not offer voluntary change-of-mind returns for orders delivered to the United States. However, if you are unhappy with your order, please contact us. Although we cannot promise a return or refund, we would appreciate the opportunity to understand the issue and see whether we can help.

This does not limit rights relating to damaged, defective, incorrect or undelivered products.

Wrong shipping address

If an incorrect shipping address was provided at checkout, please contact us as soon as possible. We will try to help, but cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after production or fulfilment has begun.

If an order is returned because an incorrect or incomplete address was provided, we may be able to resend it. Any additional shipping costs will normally be the customer’s responsibility.

Order cancellations

If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. We may be able to cancel it before production begins, but cannot guarantee cancellation once production has started.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Your bank or payment provider may require additional time to complete the transaction.
