Long before the first direct image of a black hole was released in 2019, Luminet used computer calculations and hand drawing to show what one should look like. This collection includes the iconic black-background edition and the Original Drawing Edition, inspired by the appearance of his India ink artwork before it was reproduced as a photographic negative.
